Great!

Great price, but they're a bit short for what I'm used to. A friend has suggested I try their trail shows next time. For the price, the overall quality is better than expected. Not much to fault here.

This is the latest version on the best walking shoe that New Balance has ever come up with- the 411. I don't need any break-in time and are perfectly comfortable the first time I put them on. Unlike the previous version they have replaced a good part of the leather upper with a durable of mesh that allows for better air circulation on my feet while I am walking. It also makes the shoes even lighter than they were without sacrificing any of the support they provide.

The appearance takes a little bit of getting used to because the addition of a color on top of the white backgroundis something new. Overall, I see this as being another substantial improvement in an already nearly perfect walking shoe!

This ($53.73) shoe was surprisingly cushy and comfortable, especially compared with the $120.00 Brooks Addiction Walker that also bought at the same time and returned. Even after I took out the insole and replaced it with an orthotic support the shoe remained soft and supportive. It lacks the architectural support of the very high end New Balance shoes, and its lateral support is a bit loose, but I went to the New Balance store and tried on all the more expensive models of walking shoes using my orthotic device and none of them provided the benefits of this shoe. You can walk on wet tile without slipping, but you don't want to run on it--the tread does is not slick and slip. Although it is not dress, it is not a clunky design like some NB models that seemed made for the retirement homes. The leather and stitching looks like it will hold up but I will edit the review if it disappoints. I have had the shoes two weeks and there are no problems.

P.S. For some years now Amazon techology has failed miserably on reviews (e.g. trying to edit by adding pictures) without providing any quick means of correction. On my "Public Reviews" Amazon has given a picture of another shoe. Hopefully someone at Amazon will read this and provide a photo of the shoe being reviewed.

These are just awful trainers, the plastic on the back on the shoes come through withing the first day and after 2 weeks of using them the sole of the trainers were no longer attached.
